Whispers of the Vanishing Garden2

Description

These paintings are a small tribute to butterflies and flowers, an attempt to breathe life even if it is only on canvas. These beautiful butterflies  are all extinct or endangered species. Reason for most of them is loss of their original habitat. My painting is intended to remind us the urgent need to protect what remains. Flower: Strongylodon macrobotrys (Jade Vine) (Endangered). Butterfly: Lycaena dispar (British Large Copper) (Extinct in UK)
